Introduction
Welcome to this new section in my blog, International Food or Food in the World as you prefer. One good Erasmus student must be able to cook some dishes from different countries, you have a good opportunity to learn some different cooking cultures, that's great, that is also Erasmus. Now it's my turn, so I must show you one dish from Russia -Thank you very much Veronika, and not only for teaching me this dish, you know why-, called Buckwheat. I hope you like it because it's delicious.
Products
- 1/2 cup of buckwheat.
- Mushrooms
- 1 onion.
- 1 red pepper.
- Oil, salt and paprika.
Elaboration
1. First step is cleaning the buckwheat. For it, put the Buckwheat in the surface of table, and then try to look for a black grain and remove them. Later, filter the good buckwheat with water. This is step is really important for cleaning it, so you must put attention.
2. Cut the onion and the pepper in small pieces. Later, put them in a frying pan with oil. Fry them a few minutes over a middle heat.
3. Cut the mushrooms, and put it also in the frying pan.
4. Once they are cooked, you must put inside the Buckwheat with water (double proportion water-buckwheat) as rice. It's convienent to put salt and just a little bit of paprika.
5. Wait until the water is evaporated, this means the food is ready. This proccess lasts aproximately 25-30 minutes.
